The Truth About Music

"What's hot, what's not, and whats next in pop music"

Bleachers ready to hit America with ‘I Wanna Get Better’

Jack Antonoff has been around the block. The singer and songwriter has been playing music professionally since 2000 and seems ready to finally step out and lead his own group. In 2008, he joined forces with Nate Ruess, formally of The Format to form Fun. Two Grammy Awards and over 1,000,000 albums later, Fun. is one of the most popular groups in America.

Bleachers promises to bring the same pop rock feel that made Fun. so great. As demonstrated in their first single “I Wanna Get Better,” they are full of smooth hooks and indie versus. As Ruess did in 2008, Antonoff will try to lead a group into super stardom and if this is a preview, I’m really excited to see what’s next. Their debut album Strange Desire is due out in July.
