New Single Marks Turning Point For Paramore

It was only a matter of time. Bands led by female singers always seem to have a day where it turns from a band into a solo artist backed by a band. It happend to Gwen Stefani and it happend to Avril Lavigne. With the release of Paramore’s new single “The Only Exception” from 2009′s “Brand New Eyes” the band may have officially become all about Hayley Williams

Sounding eerily similar to many songs by Avril, this song is almost entirely made up of Williams vocals paired with a soft acoustic guitar. Paramore fans will cling to the hopes that the group remains intact and that Williams ego doesn’t get in the way. There seems to come a point for every female artist when they realize they are greater than the band and with this song Williams will join this elite group of leading ladies.
