The Truth About Dave
There are two things in my life that I probably couldn’t live without—technology and music. The first is a passion I’ve devoted my life to. But this blog isn’t about technology—I have another one for that. This blog is about music, my second love in life. Music follows me; it’s like a massively creepy sociopath always breathing down my neck. This is not to say it’s not wanted—I like this sociopath. Wherever I go it goes with me, and I’ve gone far. From England to America, and a quick stop in Australia, the places I’ve lived have inspired and changed me. Each one has left their individual musical imprint. The vast difference between these musical cultures leaves me open-minded and willing. My respect for music runs deep, and I want to share this music with you. Expect music from the countries that have influenced me and the styles that truly [...] Continue...

The Truth About Erica
When I was a little kid, I used to bang on different parts of my house with chopsticks to see what sounds I could make. Years later, things haven’t changed much, but the noise I used to make has evolved into music (although I guess it depends on who you’re talking to). If you haven’t gotten the idea yet, I love music more than I love anything – even more than I love grammar. I’ve been going to and running live shows for years, and sometimes run around Europe on tour with my own groups/projects. I’m passionate about three things: writing, event planning and Lady Gaga. I’ve had a lot of experience watching young bands turn into national sensations, and then editing the articles written about them. What an exciting life I live! I believe that music is what you make of it; just because a piece of music isn’t [...] Continue...

The Truth About Keegan
I’ll put it simply for you; music is my life. You won’t find me “slappin’ da bass” or shredding up the guitar, and you would most likely confuse my voice with a metal fork being dragged across a chalkboard … but there is no rule that says you must play an instrument to be passionate about music. However, without those people my infatuation for music as well as music itself, would be non-existent. Just so we’re clear, I’m not here to tell you what music you should like but I am here to tell you what music you might like. Favorite albums, throw backs, music spread across platforms from movies to TV to the World Wide Web, maybe even songs that need to be locked in a box and never, ever let out; my opinions, my suggestions, my first love … all laid out for you here on Truth About [...] Continue...

The Truth About Loren
I’ve always loved books, music and movies, but unlike most kids I never wanted to be on a stage or infront of a microphone. I wanted to be the person that gave them the words to say and at a very early age the writing bug bit me. A teacher once told me that writing chooses you and no matter how many times I’ve tried to put the pen down and stay away from the keyboard, I keep coming back. I majored in Cinema Studies and was a DJ at a radio station during my undergrad days. I just graduated and am in the pursuit of putting my name out there in the world. I remember listening to all my mother’s old Motown records or hearing her listen to Sade. My brothers would play Run DMC or Tupac. For my 13th birthday I was given a radio and the first [...] Continue...

The Truth About Josh
What’s up readers!!! My name is Josh Feldman. I am almost a college graduate as a Performing Arts Management Major at The Hartt School. As many people approach graduation they get into the mode of thinking “what am I going to do with the rest of my life” etc. (of course I’m thinking about this) but also I want to give back to people through my writing. Music for me isn’t just an extension to my life. Music is sewn into my soul. Since I was born, music and performing arts have always been lodged into that creative section of my brain reserved for my creativity. And since then it has never left. My friends and family have described me as a musical cowboy. Using my ipod as a gun and my pocket as my trusty holster. There really isn’t a single form of music that I don’t have some [...] Continue...
