"Exposing New Music To The Blog-Reading Masses"

Future Lovers Past Release ‘Hold On Tight’ EP

It’s been a busy couple of years for Future Lovers Past.  Last year the soul pop sextet released their debut full-length All The Luscious Plants, and followed with the Our Solar System EP this past spring, all while earning a reputation for their relentless DIY approach to their singular live shows, homemade artwork and animated videos. Now the band has returned with their Hold On Tight EP.

The four-track release contains sonic gold like the title track, a blend of psychedelic sci-fi rock and stacked R&B melodies and harmonies that sounds like a long-lost Hall & Oates/Genesis collaboration,  the languid, vaguely reggae vibe of  ”Sacrifice” and wordless, atmospheric closer “To Let Go.” The group plans to expand Hold On Tight into a full-length album set for release next spring.

Future Lovers Past will be performing several showcases at CMJ in New York City next week. View the full list of dates below, and listen to the Hold On Tight EP HERE.
