The Dream Logic ‘Drunken Monkey’

With backgrounds that include touring and performing with the likes of D’Angelo, Les Nubians, Alicia Keys and Christina Aguilera, The Dream Logic, made up of  leader and vocalist Charles Compo, bassist Jerry Brooks and drummer Camille Gainer, have a rich musical history. One the trio draw on for their latest release My Black Arts. Recorded at legendary studio The Cutting Room in NYC, the album is a follow up to their self-titled debut.  The first single, “Drunken Monkey,” a no frills slice of rootsy, blues-based  rock, offers a preview of the LP’s stylistic flavor, which includes soul and funk, as well as appearances by guitarists like Soulive’s Eric Krasno and Living Color’s Vernon Reid.

My Black Arts comes out July 22. Listen to “Drunken Monkey” HERE.
