DWNTWN Releases Self-Titled EP, Announces NYC Shows

Still riding high off the success of their smash single “Til Tomorrow,” L.A.-based electro pop/rock duo DWNTWN are celebrating the release of their self-titled EP by playing a pair of shows in NYC this week.

It’s been a hectic few months for the group, who played a slew of dates on the west coast and somehow made time to collaborate with artists like Blackbird Blackbird, SomethingLAMode, Futurecop! and Rainer+Grimm. The cap on all of this creative activity is, of course, the duo’s DWNTWN EP, ¬†the follow up to 2012′s self-released¬†The Red Room.

“We’ve been hard at work for the past year writing new songs and recording this latest EP,” notes the band. “Each and every song went through tons of alternate versions until we got them to sound exactly how we wanted. We’re really happy with the way the EP turned out and we’re even more thrilled that it’s available now!”

Last night the band played a release gig for the EP at the Sayers Club in L.A., and will play two shows in New York, appearing at Santos Party House tomorrow night and the Glasslands Gallery in Brooklyn May 2. Watch the video for “Til’ Tomorrow” HERE.
