"Exposing New Music To The Blog-Reading Masses"

Abbe May "T.R.O.U.B.L.E."

Abbe May”s “Karmageddon” made ears perk up when it first dropped last year, as the singer ditched her quirky blues-rock based sound for a synthesized, vaguely sinister pop

one. Now her latest single “T.R.O. U.B.L.E.” shows her dip into electronic music wasn”t a fluke.

Laced with sullen snyths, booming drums, somber minor chords and  most importantly, Abbe vocals, which veer from a low, sultry-scary-vulnerable alto to an almost delirious-sounding falsetto, the track mines the same dark vein as “Karmageddon.”

And so does the “T.R.O.U.B.L.E.” video, which features May and other femme fatales rising from the depths of the sea and prowling the Earth like an army of scorned Amazons. Abbe May”s Kiss My Apocalypse comes out May 10. Watch the video below.
