Free Energy Share "Dance All Night"

Free Energy’s sophomore album Lovesign doesn’t come out until January of next year, but the band is offering fans a preview by releasing album cut “Dance All Night.” Take a listen after the jump.

While I’ll admit I was expecting a full-throttle club crusher, the song’s laidback 70′s rock vibe, complete with falsetto vocals

and harmonizing guitars, more than made up for the misleading (in my mind at least–I guess there is such a thing as slow dancing) title. Or maybe it wasn’t misleading so much as I missed some subtle irony. Either way, the song is great.

Free Energy are set to put on a trio of performances at the CMJ conference in Brooklyn October 19 and 20. However, Philly fans can catch the group tomorrow night at Johnny Brendas. View the dates and listen to “Dance All Night” below.
