TV On The Radio is slated to headline the eight annual Afropunk Festival, set to take place in Brookyln’s Commodore Barry Park on August 25 and 26.

The band joins an eclectic rosters of indie acts and superstars alike, including Erykah Badu, Janelle Monae, Gym Class Heroes, Das Racist, Toro Y Moi and the Cannaboids. In addition to the music, Afropunk will feature dozens of New York City’s most popular food trucks for the Bites and Beats Food Truck Festival, bringing world cuisine to the festival.

Meanwhile the Afropunk Spinthrift Market will offer concertgoers fashion, crafts and art created with an alternative aesthetic in mind. Vendors include Junkprints, Biddies & Blokes Secondhand Garb, Funkydada, Martine’s Dream, Nakimuli, and Noir A-Go Go.

Afropunk had its genesis in a film. Now film student Nef Prez is bringing the movement full circle with her film I Am Other. Watch it below.
