Rah Rah To Release Rahmixes in November

Regina, Saskatchewan’s own pop/rock  collective Rah Rah have unveiled a release date for their latest remix album Rahmixes.

The album, set for release on November 15, is the group’s first full-length digital and vinyl one under Hidden Pony Records and features remixes by a who’s who of DJ’s and innovators like:NGHTBLND (Alex Rose of Minus the Bear), Silverclub (Elbow, Frank Black’s Grand Duchy), Grandtheft (supported U2, Arcade Fire & official DJ of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics), Rich Kidd (Drake, Kardinal Offishall, Saukrates), Kitchen Party (Shad & Dallas Green, Library Voices) and  hip hop/house prodigy Cadence Weapon, amongst others.

The album culls tracks from Rah Rah’s first two albums, 2008′s Going Steady and last year’s Breaking Hearts. The group, currently on tour with Said The Whale and UK solo act Sara Lowes, have toured across the U.S. and Europe, playing major events like the Regina Folk Festival, Pop Montreal, Sled Island, the 2010 Vancouver Cultural Olympiad and NXNE and SXSW this year.

To get a taste of Rah Rah’s sound, listen to the original, subdued pop balladry of “Parkade,” and NGHTBLND’s  remix, which manages to retain the former’s serene tone while ratcheting up the club flavor with an eletrofied, two-step style beat, below.
