For those who haven”t heard Eric Clapton”s Unplugged version of Layla, I personally think it”s better than the original. Ranked fourth on Rolling Stone”s top 100 guitarists of all time, Eric fell short of Jimi Hendrix, Duane Allman, and B.B. King. Considered virtuoso among Rock, Blues, and Jazz musicians, Clapton has played in several famous groups such as The Yardbirds, The Bluesbreakers, Cream, and even played lead guitar on the Beatle”s “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.” Although a superstar from my dad”s generation, tribute must be paid to one of the guitar greats.
