"Glee" The Good Guys, The Bad Guys
This week while watching Fox’s new hit dramedy, I discovered something interesting. Although the plot is pretty well put together, the music is fantastic and the acting is solid, the writing has taken a very interesting turn. The idea of protagonists against antagonists crept into my head and I started listing them side by side. Here’s what I came up with for “Glee.” With this in mind, it seemed to me that all the characters you root for on a weekly basis are men, and all the characters you cheer against are women. Of course there are some discrepancies, I’m sure not everyone is going against Rachel Berry, the stories centerpiece diva. The point of this is that in general, the men are the good guys, where the women are the bad girls. The Songs in my Head: Hide and Seek
Do you ever find something out and then realize you were the last person to find out? That happened to me this week. Usually I wouldn’t care but being a pop music guy, I was a little embarrassed to of not know this one. Apparently, the reason I was unaware of the Heap song is because I don’t watch “The [...] Continue...

Harris’ Album of the Month: Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson
American Idol. Those two words have forever changed the music industry, the way artists are discovered and the level of stardom you can attain overnight. The first person to ever have this experience was (at the time) 20 year old Kelly Clarkson. She not only won the first ever season of American Idol but then went on to lead an extremely successful career in music which continues today. As Clarkson prepares to go back on the road this month alongside The Veronica’s I thought it perfect to honor her best album to date. When “Breakaway,” first came out I gave it a look and then moved on to other more exciting music, or so I thought. Years later as I went back to revisit the album I realized that it might be one of the best complete works we’ve seen by any artist in a long time. From the opening [...] Continue...
